Is my balance the same as my sales total?+
No. Sales describe commercial activity; balances describe how funds are classified. Aging, refunds, reserves, completed payouts and unresolved commitments can explain the difference. A balance snapshot also has a transaction cutoff, so newer activity may not yet be included.
What is the difference between a reserve and a hold?+
Reserved and refund-earmarked balances are deliberate snapshot classifications. A payout or refund hold is money committed to a particular unresolved operation. They answer different questions and should not be treated as interchangeable buckets.
Should I subtract holds from the available balance?+
Not indiscriminately. The snapshot may already reflect a hold that existed at its cutoff, while other holds may have been created later. Keep classifications and current holds side by side. Do not add holds to the snapshot total either. A new payout or refund performs the authoritative capacity check.
How current are the figures?+
The balance response provides a transaction cutoff for snapshot classifications and a separate read timestamp for live holds. Preserve both. Check a new transaction directly if it happened after the snapshot cutoff rather than assuming it is already represented in the aggregate.
Can I reconcile a partial payment allocation?+
Yes. Payment transaction records distinguish available, pending and spent capacity, with current payout and refund allocations. Match the allocation to the operation you are reconciling instead of using the source payment’s full amount.
Does this replace my accounting system?+
No. Balances and balance transactions provide Inttegro’s money-movement evidence for reconciliation, finance and support workflows. They are not a complete general ledger. Keep currency and source identifiers when bringing the records into your accounting system.
